NOTICE OF FILING PETITION FOR TAX DEED

To Terre Haute Brazil & Eastern Railroad, and all of its successors, representatives, and assigns, and any and all persons claiming any right, title and interest from, by or through Terre Haute Brazil & Eastern Railroad, or otherwise:

You are hereby notified that on September 13, 2016, at the 2016 Putnam County public tax sale, National Road Heritage Trail, Inc. (“Petitioner”) acquired a priority tax-related lien interest against that certain real estate (the “Real Estate”) located in Putnam County, State of Indiana, commonly known as consisting of abandoned railroad property, and being more particularly-described as a part of Section 11, Township 13 North, Range 5 West, Tax Key No. 017-580310-00, 1.72 acres, more or less.

The time period within which to redeem the Real Estate from the tax sale has expired. The Real Estate was not redeemed prior to the expiration of the period of redemption. Petitioner, by counsel, in the Putnam County Circuit Court and under Cause Number 67C01-1608-MI-219, has filed or will file a Petition for an Order directing the Auditor of Putnam County, Indiana, to issue to Petitioner a Tax Deed for the Real Estate. The Petition will be filed on or after September 20, 2017. Any person owning or having an interest in the Real Estate may file a written objection to the Petition with the Court not later than thirty (30) days after the date the Petition is filed. If a written objection is timely filed, the Court shall conduct a hearing on the objection.
