Kenneth L. Poore Kenneth L. Poore Kenneth L. Poore, 81, of Spencer, passed away at IU Hospice House in Bloomington on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. He was born October 18, 1932 in Hancock County, Indiana to Roy and Ora (Wilson) Poore. Kenneth was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He later worked at General Motors, Truck and Bus Division in Indianapolis as a welder, retiring after 35 years. Mr. Poore was a member of the Spencer VFW, American Legion, Pony Express and Cuba Baptist Church. He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, traveling, reading and watching old westerns, listening to gospel and country music and participating in karaoke.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Gillie) Poore; children, Kenneth (Lori) Poore and Ermond (Bonny) Poore both of Spencer, Christine (Ron) Parsley of Kentucky, Cynthia (Randy) Jackson of Jasonville, and Gary (Kathy) Poore of Kentucky; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Poore and Ora Parrish; first wife, Margaret (Kenyon) Poore in 2004; a grandchild; three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. Pastor Alan Farmer will officiate. Burial will follow at Cuba Methodist Cemetery where military graveside rites will be performed by the Spencer VFW and American Legion. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M., Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
