Jackie Wilson Dale, Age 70

Jackie Wilson Dale was born June 29, 1940, in Owen County, to Wanda (Cassida) and Renos Wilson. She lived, loved, and passed into glory March 19, 2011, on her beloved farm in Owen County, near Jordan Village, Indiana.

Jackie enjoyed her family and friends, reading books, collecting and selling antiques and curios, perennial gardening, bird watching, visiting museums, vacationing abroad, and preserving memories and family history through photographs, oral traditions and the written word.

She was dedicated to historic preservation and environmental protection of God’s earth. Each morning, she prayed a simple, heartfelt prayer that God would guide and show her, “What would You have me do today?”

Jackie’s favorite Bible passages were Psalm 23 and John 14. Her favorite hymn was “It Is Well With My Soul”. She graduated from Patricksburg High School in 1957, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Indiana University in 1988. Jackie attended Christ Central Church of Jordan Village (and loved to hear its church bell ring each Sunday).
