Malcolm E. Wade, 90

Malcolm E. Wade Malcolm E. Wade Malcolm E. Wade, 90, Avon, formerly of Fillmore, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Manor Care Prestwick at Avon. He was born on August 22, 1920, in Fillmore, and was the son of the late Murt E. and Lela (Burk) Wade.

He was married to Beatrice K. (Deweese) Wade on July 27, 1940, and she survives.

He was a retired Postmaster from the Fillmore Post Office; member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church; Temple Lodge #47, F. & A.M., Greencastle; and a 50 year member of F. & A.M. #155 at Fillmore, O.E.S. #255, Greencastle and a 50 year member of O.E.S. #186 at Fillmore and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Plainfield, Indiana. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served during WWII.

In addition to his wife, Beatrice K. Wade, he is survived by his daughters, Darla Kay Rhind and husband, David, Leland, North Carolina, and Sue Kay St. John and husband, Danny, Avon; grandchildren, Deanna K. Marek and husband Dave, Brent E. St. John and wife, Casey, Brad E. St. John and wife, Tommie, and Douglas Kay Thomas; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Interment was made in the Fillmore Cemetery.
