Putnamville Correctional Facility K-9 Demonstrate For Cloverdale Cub Scouts

The Cloverdale Cub Scouts Pack #93 were treated to a demonstration by the Putnamville Correctional Facility K-9 team at their April pack meeting. There was an open window of weather that allowed the demonstration to take place outside. The handlers and dogs were introduced to the Scouts. The dogs showed their talents. The scent dogs were able to locate the narcotics and tobacco. The aggression dogs were able to take down Sgt. Kirklen who so graciously adorned the bite suit and was taken down countless times. The bloodhound showed her tracking abilities by finding a fellow Girl Scout who had lost her way from the crowd. It was a very educational experience for all in attendance. The Scouts of Cloverdale would like to thank the Putnamville Correctional Facility for the demonstration and the services that these handlers and animals do for the community.
