Meeting To Be Held July 6 To Discuss Resource Concerns In Putnam County

In an effort to utilize financial and technical resources in the best way possible, the Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service are planning a public forum on July 6, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the USDA Service Center in Greencastle. The organizations are looking at consolidating their efforts to collect information from Putnam County residents on what resource concerns they have, issues that may need to be addressed, and/ or areas that could be improved or enhanced.

If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to participate, there will be two opportunities for you. You may stop by the office and pick up material to complete prior to the meeting or, new this year, the material will be available on the Putnam County Soil and Water District’s web page at http://putna.miaswcd.org/. If you visit the web page you will be able to complete the resource concerns check list and have your concerns and ideas included for the meeting.

To ensure that there is enough meeting materials please let us know by July 5th if you will be joining us by calling 765-653-5716, ext. 3 for a reservation. Light refreshments will be served and the meeting will conclude by 11:30 a.m.
