Owen Artist Carolyn Carlson Presents Jewelry-Making Class At Cunot Center

Owen County Art Guild artist and jewelry maker Carolyn Carlson hosted a wire-bending jewelry-making class on July 5 at the Cunot Community Center. Using a variety of gauges of wire as well as types, Mrs. Carlson said you can use just about anything as long as it is lead-free. Several people were on hand to watch the demonstration with only two jumping in and creating pieces of their own. In the photo above, Mary Wyant (left) is shown with class teacher Carlson, discussing the piece that she is working on. Several others were in attendance including Jean Johnson, Mable Capps, Steven Witty, Roy Sanders and president of the senior organization, Jeffrey Smith.
