Mae Louise Ader, 96

Mae Louise Ader, age 96, of rural Coatesville (Groveland), passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011, at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. Born May 18, 1915, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Leroy Franklin Alter and Wealthy Ann (Hossafous) Alter. She married Howard Raymond Ader, and he preceded her.

Mae was a retired Elementary School Teacher. She was a graduate of Fillmore High School, in 1933, and Central Normal College. She had taught at Pittsboro, Amo, Groveland, Floyd Center, Belle Union, New Winchester, Stilesville, Clinton Center, Russellville, and Bainbridge. She also taught homebound students. She was a member of the Groveland Presbyterian Church and the Groveland Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include 2 sons, Alan (Diana) Ader, Rockville, Indiana, and Roger (Elizabeth) Ader, rural Coatesville, Indiana; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, and a brother, Harry A. Alter, preceded her.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. at the Fillmore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials include: Indiana Masonic Home Foundation, Groveland Eastern Star, or to the donor’s preferred charity. The Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, in Coatesville, assisted with arrangements.
