Cloverdale School Board Hears Grounds, Facility Update April 9th

The Cloverdale School Board convened April 9th for their monthly meeting.

After the meeting’s call to order and recognition of a quorum, the board moved quickly to address routine matters including the approval of March 12th meeting minutes, claims and financial reports and the waiver of second reading of board policies 3220, 3160, 3131, 3142 and 3125.

The board heard a facility update from Jeff Underwood, physical operations manager, who discussed various issues including condenser motors, chillers, compressors, shelving, tile installation, baseball field scoreboard, indoor air quality and outdoor erosion.

Moving on, the board heard an update regarding an audit conducted by the state board of accounts.

“We had a clean, clear audit,” CCSC Superintendent Dr. Carrie Milner said. “We did have minor issues to address and we have taken care of those.”

The board also heard from CES/CMS Principal Stacey Baugh regarding the Advanced Ed review and visit preparing to take place.

Under new business, the board voted to approve the Putnam County Emergency Management Agency agreement, summer school programs, driver training, Snails to Trails program, facility use requests, professional leave requests and field trip requests.
