(Staff Photo) Our Community Bank held its annual Customer Appreciation Day on Friday in both Spencer and Cloverdale.

Manning the grill at the bank’s East Morgan Street location in Spencer was OCB President and Chief Executive Officer Kurt Rosenberger, who was busily preparing hotdogs and chili cheese dogs from Rice’s Quality Farm Meats of Spencer.

Meanwhile, OCB Branch Manager Tami Dillman was occupying the grill at the bank’s South Main Street location in Cloverdale.

“We held a summer celebration for the past several years leading up to our centennial celebration in 2011 and we wanted to continue that with a day where we recognize our customers,” Rosenberger said. “They are the reason for our existence, so we wanted to have a way to give back and show that we don’t take our customers for granted. They have choices of where they can go and we really appreciate that they choose to bank with us. We want to be a good corporate citizen of the community and show our appreciation.”

The goodies from the grill, as well as donuts in the morning and cupcakes in the afternoon, were provided complimentary to bank visitors. Customers were also provided with their choice of an ice cold beverage or coffee during their visit.

The local financial institution also had plenty of giveaway items and held a drawing for a backpack full of school supplies.
