Lady Clovers Second In Three-Way Match

Sydney Shrum carded a 38 to earn medalist honors while leading Cloverdale to a second place finish in Thursday’s three-way golf match at Forest Park in Brazil.

Host Northview earned the win with a team score of 170, followed by Cloverdale with a combined score of 201. Linton rounded out the three-team field with a score of 210.

Others carding scores for the Lady Clovers included Makayla Moore with a 49, Harlee Fuetter 54, Savanna Gaddis 59, Payton Dorsett 59 and Elizabeth Wardlow 67.

“I was pleased to see us reach our goal tonight, which was to break 210,” CHS coach Matthew Langdon said. “Sydney received medalist again with a 39; she is playing some consistent golf right now. I was also very happy to see four other scores in the 50’s or below. Our younger girls are starting to improve and that will bode well for us later in the season.”

Cloverdale will be back in action today, Tuesday, at Clover Meadows against visiting Crawfordsville. Tee-time is set for 4:00 p.m.
