Brenda F. (Spalding) Brickert, 48


Brenda F. Brickert Brenda F. Brickert Brenda F. (Spalding) Brickert, age 48, of Coatesville, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 28, 1012, in her home, surrounded by family and her beloved “pet wolf” Gaspari.

Brenda was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 26, 1964, to Fred and Betty Spalding. She held several jobs, with the most favorable being Meridian Creek Health Care, working with the elderly. She lived life to the fullest, holding most dearly her family, friends, and “pet wolf” Gaspari.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Brickert; daughters, Tia and Tara Spalding; grandchildren, Tiara, Taylor, Trinity, and Trenton Spalding; mother, Betty Spalding; sisters: Deborah (Gary) Rhea, Beverly (Glen) Fledderjohn, and Crystal Spalding; brother, James (Bub) Spalding Jr.; 5 nieces and nephews: Mark Jr., Laci, James III, Dalton, and Christa; 2 great nephews; and 1 great niece.

She is preceded in death by her father, James (Fred) Spalding Sr.


Bernice Minnick Bernice Minnick Graveside services were held at noon on Saturday, November 3, in the New Providence Cemetery.

Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, was in charge of arrangements.

Bernice Minnick, 81

Bernice Minnick, 81, Gosport, passed away on November 4, 2012, at Asbury Towers in Greencastle. She was born on April 10, 1931 in Morgan County, Indiana, and was the daughter of the late Harley and Della [Brummett] Guy.

She was married to Rex Coble Minnick and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church..

She is survived by her children, Melissa Thompson, Greencastle, Rexanna Hamm and husband, Matt, Gosport, Sue Holman, Cloverdale, Debbie Clark and husband, Dan, Fillmore, Marianne Greeson and husband, Kevin, Martinsville, Karen Grantz and Frank, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kevin “Curley” Minnick and wife, Jeannie, Gosport, Jerry Minnick, Gosport, Donnie Minnick, Gosport, Richard Huber, Quincy, and Dale Huber and wife, Diana, Greencastle, and her sister, Beulah Baber, Gosport; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012, from 12:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Olive Cemetery.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Bandy; her sisters, Bertha Temple, Charlene Paris, Imogene Bixler and Doris Delp; and her brothers, Junior Guy, Burl Guy and Gail Guy.
