Owen Volunteer Fire Departments Receive DNR Timber Sale Profits


Representatives from Owen County’s seven volunteer fire departments were on hand February 11th to accept their portion of the funding the county received from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources for annual timber sales. Each department received a $2,728.45 share of the funding. Owen County Council President Patty Stewart is shown in the photo on the right as she accepted a check totaling $19,099.15 from Owen-Putnam State Forest Forester Rob Duncan.
