Auditions For ‘Harvey’ At Putnam Playhouse

Director Jim Rambo will have two sessions of auditions for the Mary Chase classic comedy “Harvey.” The first session will be Sunday, July 21, at 3:00 p.m. A second session will be conducted on Monday, July 22, at 7:00 p.m. Both will be in the Rehearsal Center at the Hazel Day Longden Theatre in Greencastle.

The show will be produced September 12-14 and September 18-21.

Corporate sponsor for the show is Duke Energy.

Roles available include Elwood P. Dowd, a friendly eccentric with a six-foot tall invisible rabbit as a best friend; Veta Louise Simmons, his sister, a society woman worried about her standing; Myrtle Mae Simmons, her daughter; and the staff of the sanitarium where Elwood is sent, Dr. William Chumley, Dr. Lyman Sanderson, and Nurse Ruth Kelly.

Smaller roles include a few party guests, a cab driver, a male nurse, and a maid. All roles include lines.
