Vaughn Manning, 83

Vaughn Manning Vaughn Manning Vaughn Manning, 83, of Cloverdale, passed away at his son’s home on Thursday, July 4, 2013. He was born in Upper Tygart, Kentucky, on January 12, 1930 to Alvin and Arlena (Patton) Manning.

Mr. Manning was retired from the United States Navy after serving for 23 years during the Vietnam and Korean Wars.

He was a member of the Spencer VFW and American Legion and the Catholic Church. After retirement, he enjoyed gardening.

Vaughn is survived by his sons, Patrick (Cathy) Manning of Cloverdale, and Michael Manning, of Pendleton; daughters, Kathy (Danny) Burkett, of Spencer, Kelly Spencer, of Pennsylvania, Tammy Moore, of New Jersey, and Christine (Terry) Rapp, of Spencer; brother, Keith Manning; sister, Deloris Manning; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and children, Tracy Manning, Dennis Manning and Timothy Manning.

Funeral services were held at 11 am, Saturday, July 13, 2013, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery where military graveside rites were conducted by the Spencer VFW and American Legion.
