DC Baseball Teams And Indiana Blazers Baseball To Join Forces

DC Baseball teams and Indiana Blazers Baseball to join forces. Tryout dates are set for 2014 DC Blazers summer teams.

Two highly successful baseball organizations, DC Baseball and the Indiana Blazers, are joining forces to create a new baseball travel organization called the DC Blazers. Both programs have fielded teams that compete in regional and national tournaments throughout the summer. The new DC Blazers is a not-for-profit organization and will include summer travel teams for ages 8-18 as well as fall travel teams for select age groups.

Tryouts for the 2014 DC Blazer travel teams will be held on August 10th on three fields at Clifty Park in Columbus, Indiana. Schedule for tryouts is as follows 8U 9-11am field 1; 9U 10am-12 noon field 2; 10U: 11am-1pm field 3; 11U 11:30am-1:30pm, field 1; 12U 12:30pm-2:30pm field 2; 13U 1:30pm-3:30pm field 3; 14U 2pm-4pm field 1; 15U 3-5pm field 2; 16U 4-6pm field 3; 17U 4:30- 6:30pm field 1; 18/17U 5:30-7:30pm field 2. Registration information and on-line registration can be found at the Indiana Blazers website. There is a $10.00 tryout fee.

DC Baseball teams were established and sponsored by former MLB pitcher Zach McClellan. Indiana Blazers Baseball organization was founded by Brian Wichman and is located in Columbus, Indiana.
