Millgrove Campground Donates In Support Of ‘The Moving Wall’

The Owen County 4-H Fishing Team continues to collect donations to assist in bringing ‘The Moving Wall,’ a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. to the Owen County Fairgrounds in Spencer, August 8-12.

Donations may be sent to 4-H Fishing Team, 2363 West Romona Road, Spencer, IN 47460, or dropped of at the Owen County Extension Office at 180 South Washington Street in Spencer, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Thanks to the generosity of its regular crowd of campers, security guard Dave Lucas and his wife, Sue, recently represented the Millgrove Campground in providing a $500 check donation to members of the Owen County 4-H Fishing Team. Lucas himself is a Vietnam War veteran, serving with the U.S. Army’s First Air Cavalry. Accepting the check on behalf of the fishing team were siblings Megan, Marc and Michaela Weddle.
