Cornerstone Baptist To Host FREE WEIRD Youth Event For Teenagers

Teen pregnancy. Drug use. Binge drinking. Broken homes. Peer pressure. These are the struggles and temptations faced by our young people in today’s culture. This is their normal. From every angle, these students face daily challenges that many of us don’t understand. But to them, it’s normal. They turn on the TV to see breaking news about school shootings, dysfunctional political systems across the globe, and natural disasters that devastate entire nations. This isn’t shocking to the average teenager. It’s become a normal part of their life.

Can we agree on something? Normal isn’t working! It’s time for something different. It’s time for a change. It’s time for WEIRD!

Cornerstone Baptist Church (Greencastle) is hosting a FREE youth event for teenagers in grades 6-12. At this event, students will see WEIRD can become their new normal. They can stand against the negative influences that surround them. They can be the salt and light on their campus and in their peer groups. They can change the world!

The WEIRD YOUTH RALLY will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 5:00-11:00pm in the Community Building at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. This is a FREE event and is open to teens in grades 6-12. Immeasurably More (from Judson University) will lead worship and Jon Andrews from Tiny Hands International will be our special guest. The event will consist of music, snacks, skits, teaching, and doorprizes!
