Cloverdale October Students Of The Month Recognized At Board Meeting

(Staff Photo) The Cloverdale Community School Corporation Board recently recognized the October students of the month at their monthly board meeting.

Hannah Baker, daughter of Clark and Susan Baker, was announced as student of the month at Cloverdale Elementary. Hannah lists her favorite subject as math and loves to read. She is active in Girl Scouts as well and would like to become a veterinarian in the future.

Mrs. Ranard, Hannah’s second grade teacher, nominated her by saying, “Hannah always comes to school ready to learn. She is eager to complete assignments and she likes to be challenged. She has outstanding behavior. She is an excellent role model for her peers.”

The Cloverdale Middle School (CMS) student of the month is eighth grader Abigail Walker. She is the daughter of Melinda and Joe Walker.

“Abby is a great student,”This Mr. Wheeler said. “What I admire most about Abby is that she often takes the initiative and does things (correctly) without having to be asked.”

Sophomore Sadie McKinney has been named the student of the month at Cloverdale High School. The daughter of Uriah and Crystal McKinney, Sadie lists her favorite subject as math. Her hobbies and interest include running, swimming and reading. Her extra-curricular activities include 4-H, FFA, ARBA and FCA. In the future she would like to become a farmer and work with animals. One day she would also like to own her own café.

Ms. Scott said, “Sadie always comes to class prepared. She does exceptional work. Sadie enjoys reading and always has a book to read when finished with assignments. Sadie is very helpful to her peers.”
