Robert ‘Bob’ Berlin Hudson, 85

Robert “Bob” Berlin Hudson, of Poland, passed away at IU Health-Bloomington Hospital on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at the age of 85.

Bob was born in Madison County, Indiana on May 12, 1928, to Edward C. and Mary Hanna (Hewitt) Hudson.

Bob proudly served in the Indiana National Guard for 14 years. He was owner of Bob’s Trash n Jewels, in Poland, and was a driver for a propane company until his retirement with 15 years of service. Bob volunteered passing out food at the Cunot Community Center and enjoyed going to the casino, playing computer games, and visiting with friends, family and everyone else, telling stories and jokes. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the VFW Post 1552 in Alexandria, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 47 years, Nancy (Osborn) Hudson (Oct. 4, 2012); son, Rodney Allen Hudson; and eight siblings.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Kelley (Dean) of Ellettsville; step-son, Mike Miller of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jodie Hudson Young, Jesse Hudson, Levi Merchant, Rachell Kelley Davis, and James Kelley; four greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
