Cloverdale Elementary Participates In Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

Cloverdale Elementary School (CES) students generously donated canned goods to supply over 30 Thanksgiving food baskets for families in need. The school’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) donated a turkey to each of the food baskets. Fourth grade student council members collected, separated, and counted the goods supplied by each of the elementary classrooms. Mrs. Headley’s class donated the most goods and earned a popcorn party from the PTO. The Stardust Hills Association, Millgrove Methodist Church, and Cloverdale Christian Church made contributions to the school’s food drive as well, allowing the school to give 41 baskets.

The CES Student Council would like to remind everyone to save and contribute Box Tops for Education to the school. If students submit 10 Box Tops by December 13th, they can participate in a Spirit Day by wearing elf ears, reindeer antlers, or Santa hats on December 13. Cloverdale Elementary School welcomes Box Tops for Education from community members as well.
