Clyde Richard “Dick” Gaddis Clyde Richard “Dick” Gaddis Clyde Richard Gaddis of Cloverdale, Indiana passed away Thursday, May 22nd, 2014. He was born November 7th, 1930 in Lawrence, IN, the son of Clyde and Bess Gaddis, both deceased. He was married to Irene “Faye” Cummings-Schroer-Gaddis and she survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters: Terry “Gaddis” Monnett and husband Dana; Lisa “Schroer” Mendenhall and husband Dale. Sons: Scott Gaddis and wife Tina; Rob Schroer and wife Jody. 17 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. Brothers: Duane and Debbie Gaddis; Jay and Karen Gaddis; Marcel and Rita Gaddis, sister: Judy McGaughey, sister-in-law; Phyllis Gaddis, and several nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of Owen Valley. He retired from IYC, Plainfield, IN in 1975 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Scottish Rite, Terre Haute, IN, and Masonic Lodge Cloverdale, IN, Cloverdale American Legion, and several other organizations. After retiring he had managed a bait shop, and grocery store. He loved fishing, hunting, watching football, and model trains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Brad Gaddis, brothers: Keith Gaddis, and infant Donald Gaddis.

Services will be Friday, May 30th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, IN. Visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29th, 2014. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at: cds@whitakerfuneralhome.net
