Gerald E. Clark Gerald E. Clark Gerald E. Clark, age 71, of Centerville died Friday, May 23, 2014 at his home.

Born March 11, 1943 in Putnam County to Roy Albert and Mary Elizabeth Dunn Clark. Gerald was a 1963 graduate of Cloverdale High School.

From 1965 to 1967, he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Sennet (SS-408). Gerald was a cement finisher. He was a member of the American Legion Post 281 in Cloverdale for 24 years.

He had lived in the Centerville community for the last 45 years. Gerald was a member of the Cement Finishers Union and Labor Union 1112. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching the grandsons play sports.

Survivors include his wife, LaDonna Thompson Clark to whom he was married on November 1, 1969; daughter, Melinda S. (Brian) Kelly of Liberty; son, James G. Clark of Centerville; grandsons, Dustin Grimes, Christopher Kelly, Brandon Kelly, Steven Clark and Shaun Clark; sister, Carol (Robert) Blue; brother, Steven (Barbra) Clark; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Virginia Baldwin, Rosittea Cummings, Lula Cox, Jouliet Lawson, Jerry June Clark and Louise Mager; and brothers, William, Roy Jr. and Robert Keith Clark.

A memorial service will be Saturday, June 14 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the American Legion in Cloverdale.

Arranagements were handled by Mills Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street, Centerville.
