INDOT: I-70 Project Requires Closure Of Westbound Exit Ramp To State Road 59

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the project on I-70 will close the westbound exit ramp to State Road 59 (S.R. 59) Exit 23, beginning today, Tuesday, from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday to resurface the ramp.

This project on I-70 will resurface the interstate from S.R. 59 to nearly six miles east of that location and also overlay the bridge decks over S.R. 59. This project was awarded to Rieth-Riley for $9.3 million. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September of this year.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
