Tivadar (Ted) Hagymasi, 79

Ted Hagymasi Ted Hagymasi Tivadar (Ted) Hagymasi, 79 passed away January 19, 2015 in his hometown of Eger, Hungary.

Ted was born December 24, 1935 to Jozef and Maria (Toth) Hagymasi. (Both deceased)

Surviving are his wife, Clara Hagymasi of Eger, Hungary, 2 sons; Tivadar (Ted) J. Hagymasi and Thomas (Tom) Hagymasi of Cloverdale, 2 daughters; Marika Stancil and Melissa Taylor, both of Indianapolis, IN; a step son, Doug Dobson, Jeffersonville, IN, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Ted was a freedom fighter during the Hungarian Revolution, fighting against communism. In 1958 Ted escaped a prison camp and fled his country. With the help of the Red Cross, he made it to the USA. In 1960, he made his way to Indiana, then to Cloverdale in 1974.

Ted was a self employed welder. He owned and operated Ted’s Wrecker & Welding Service, with the help of his sons. He retired in 2000. Ted always enjoyed taking time to go fishing.

In 2007 he moved back to his homeland Eger, Hungary and there is where he will be laid to rest.
