Nadine ‘Combs’ Pittl, 82


Nadine Pittl Nadine Pittl Nadine “Combs” Pittl, 82 of Cataract, passed away at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on March 4, 2015. She was born on November 14, 1932 in Jackson County, Kentucky and was the daughter of Ellis Combs and Bernice [Bowman] “Combs” Sears.

Nadine was married to the late Anton F. “Tony” Pittl on April 24, 1948 at Spencer. She enjoyed going to church. She was a member of the Cataract Missionary Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and Bible School. She attended Quincy High School and was a homemaker and housewife.

She enjoyed canning and gardening and playing with her great-grandsons, “Nick and Hunter”.

She is survived by her loving daughter Nadine Gay Pursel and husband Rick, granddaughter Dusti Lynn, 2 great-grandsons, Dominick “Nick” and Hunter, her brother, Russell D. Combs and wife Glenda, sister-in-law, Helen Combs, several Nieces and Nephews, lots of Christian friends, two aunts, Hershel Sparks and Shelba Trites, both of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton F. “Tony, Pittl, her parents, Ellis Combs and Bernice Combs Sears, her step-father, Earl D. Sears, her brother, Wallace Combs and her grandson, Richard Tony Pursel.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be n Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cataract Cemetery.
