Cloverdale’s Moore Named To Top 100, Neese Is ‘Player Of The Week’

Just days after ending an exiting postseason run at the Class 2A Greenfield Regional, the Cloverdale Clovers are receiving accolades.

Cloverdale sophomore Cooper Neese received Indiana Basketball Coaches Association/Subway Player of the Week honors for District 2 after leading the Clovers’ with a game-high 34 points on 11-of-21 shooting, including 7-of-14 from beyond the arch and 5-for-7 at the free throw line in Cloverdale’s 84-77 regional loss to Crispus Attucks. The Clovers ended the year with 11-straight wins, culminating in a Sectional 44 Championship and a 22-6 season mark.

Neese was second in scoring for the Clovers, with 17.1 points per game, behind senior point guard Marquis Moore and his 18.8 points per night. Moore also recently received some post-season honors, selected by Hoosier Basketball Magazine for the Top 100 senior boys’ players in the state.

The list will be reduced to 60 for the annual Top 60 Senior Boys’ Workout at Marion University in Indianapolis on Sunday, April 12.
