Win $150 Gift Certificate In 2015 Photo Contest

Local photographers have another opportunity to win a prize for capturing the flavor of our community. The 2015 edition of the annual photo contest presented by Our Community Bank (OCB) and the Spencer Evening World will center on “Down on the Farm” as its theme. Appropriately, the entries will be judged and the winner announced at this year’s Owen County 4-H Fair.

“For the past two years, the photo contest has given many local photographers a chance to show off their best work while celebrating life in our community,” explains OCB President & CEO Kurt Rosenberger. “We know that local residents are proud of our community’s strong connections to country living and agriculture, which makes ‘Down on the Farm’ the perfect choice for this year’s contest.”

In keeping with the theme, the winner of the contest will receive a $150 gift certificate from Edwards Farm Supply. Entries will be accepted through June 26 at ocbconnect.com or in person at OCB’s Spencer and Cloverdale offices. The official entry blank is available at OCB, online at ocbconnect.com, and will be printed periodically in the Spencer Evening World. Complete details and official rules are available at OCB and at www.ocbconnect.com.

Rosenberger adds that the contest theme is open to each entrant’s interpretation. “We know that life in the country means different things to different people, and we’re eager to see how this year’s entrants capture images,” he says. “I’m sure we’ll receive some very traditional images, as well as some innovative ideas. We’ll display the best entries at the 4-H Fair.”

OCB is a community bank with approximately $64 million in assets that serves its customers’ financial needs from offices in Cloverdale and Spencer.
