CHS Adds Dave Ramsey’s Foundations In Personal Finance To Curriculum

Cloverdale High School (CHS) now offers Dave Ramsey’s Foundations in Personal Finance, the premier curriculum for teaching financial literacy to students.

The course is sponsored by First National Bank of Cloverdale.

“Cloverdale High School is excited about all the possibilities using Foundations in Personal Finance along with our current curriculum,” said principal Sonny Stoltz.

Ramsey tailors the lessons to students by using fun, easy to understand methods and interactive learning. The class is taught on DVD by Ramsey and his daughter, Rachel Cruze.

“To graduate from high school you have to know what an amoeba is but not how to balance your checkbook,” said Ramsey. “After years of listening to parents tell me their financial woes on the radio it made sense to develop a program that would teach teenagers how to avoid their parent’s mistakes.”

Foundations in Personal Finance is a turnkey curriculum that meets standards and benchmarks in all fifty states and Jump$tart national standards. More than 10,000 high schools and educational institutions are teaching their students how to better manage their finances and build wealth so they can have a solid financial future.
