Cloverdale School System Announces Students Of The Month For September

(Staff Photo) The Cloverdale Community School Corporation recently announced its Students of the Month for the month of September.


Makayla Siddons, a fourth grade student in Mrs. Kemp’s class was named student of the month at Cloverdale Elementary. She is the daughter of Adrian Siddons and Jessica Siddons.

Makayla lists her favorite subject as math. She enjoys working math facts, reading, drawing, picking flowers, and cheerleading. She would like to be a veterinarian when she gets older.

“Makayla is a wonderful student and a joy to have in class,” Mrs. Puckett, McKayla’s third grade teacher said. “She comes to school ready to learn and is always eager to help in any way in the classroom. Makayla is always kind to others. She is such a hard worker. She is always on task and ready to take on a challenge. Makayla is a great student and role model for other children in our classroom.”

Middle School

The Cloverdale Middle School student of the month is Brady Koosman. Brady is the son of Chad and Jessi Koosman and he is a sixth grader. He is very active as a member of the cross country team and plays shortstop in the community baseball league. He also plays basket- ball.

Brady attends St. Paul’s Church in Greencastle. He enjoys school and is currently taking pre-Algebra with the seventh graders. In the future, he would like to be a major league baseball players or an NBA basketball player.

“Brady has extremely good grade, he works very diligently,” Mrs. Halloran said. “Brady is also very kind to the other students, very respectful of his peers and adults. Brady is always eager to volunteer and not afraid to be a leader!”

High School

Senior Nick Blundell has been named student of the month for Cloverdale High School. Nick is the son of Bernie and Connie Blundell and lists his favorite subject as elective PE and AP Spanish. His interests include football, cross country, track, FCA, NHS, and NAHS. In the future, Brady would like to become a pediatrician.

“Nick is a great kid who is easy to talk to,” Mrs. Graham said. “Whether it is discussing kittens, running, the Pacific Northwest, or what we are reading in class, he always listens well and contributes considerate thoughts to the conversation. I also appreciate that he helps me in the concession stand whenever I ask him to.”
