Virginia ‘Jenny’ Walden, 77

Virginia “Jenny” Walden, 77, of Cloverdale, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at IU Health and Hospice House. She was born June 26, 1938 in Anderson to Robert Williamson and Alberta Maxine (Markle) Brown. She worked as a real estate agent for Sims Realty and Settys Realty. She was a member of the Red Hatters. She enjoyed playing Euchre, Rummy, Bingo, fishing, and collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia.

Virginia is survived by her children, Meri Chasteen (Gary) of Mitchell and Charlie Thompson of Bloomington; grandchildren, Amanda Burton, Casey Smith, Lacey Thompson, Sarah Thompson, Becky Montgomery, and Gina Dorantes; and great grandchildren, Brenna Smith, Evelyn Maci McCarty, Alexa Dorantes, Maya Dorantes, James Montgomery, Sarah Montgomery, and Oliver.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Stephen Paul Clyde.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
