Beech Grove UMC Slated To Celebrate 59th Anniversary

Beech Grove United Methodist Church will celebrate the 59th anniversary of reopening the church on Sunday, March 13th. Worship service is at 11:00 a.m. with a pitch-in dinner to follow.

The church was closed for six years before a petition was taken around in 1957 by Hila Brattain and Mary Sholwiler, both deceased, and Helen Knauer, who remains an active member of the church. Helen will give the history of the church that morning.

Pastor Frank Brasel and his wife Faith along with the members of the church invite everyone to join them in the celebration. Anyone with any past connection to the church especially is encouraged to attend.

The services for the week of Easter is as follows: March 20th-Palm Sunday Services at 11:00 a.m.; March 24th-Maundy Thursday, 7:00 p.m.; March 25th-Easter service at 8:00 a.m. with Pastor Frank Brasel. A pitch-in breakfast will follow.
