Michael D. Goldman Michael D. Goldman Michael Dwain Goldman, age 55, of Poland, Indiana, formerly of Cloverdale, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, March 7, 2016.

Born on Aug. 27, 1960 in Danville, Indiana, Michael was the son of James D. and Carolyn J. Goldman.

A 1979 graduate of Danville Community High School, Mike worked for Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 2009.

Michael is survived by his parents; sisters Deborah Blevins and husband Scott, and Sheryl (Sherry) Chalfant and husband Todd; his two children, daughter Samantha Jo Monnett and husband Joseph and son Harmon (Hank) Michael Goldman and fiancee JoAnna McKee, and their mother, Cammie Goldman.

Michael is also survived by his grandchildren, Kash Monnett and Kolten Monnett; nephew Blaine Blevins; niece Jessica Chalfant; great-nieces Stevie and Taylor Chalfant and great-nephew Hunter Chalfant.

Please pray for the recent loss of his beloved nephew, Logan Chalfant.

Michael was a man of deep faith and he felt most at peace on or around a body of water, or in the woods. He was an avid outdoorsman who was an exceptional hunter and fisherman.

Mike enjoyed golfing, playing cards and being with his family. He never gave up hope on his Chicago Cubs, and was a huge IU basketball fan and Notre Dame football fan.

His happy place was his own pond with his family and friends. It was hard to pull Mike away from “Goldman Hollar.”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 19 from 3-6 p.m. at the Conservation Club in Danville.
