April 30

The Putnam County Nonfood Pantry, hosted by St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, will be distributing items from 1-3 pm on Sat, Apr 30 in the parish hall at 520 East Seminary St, Greencastle. In order to be eligible for these items, persons must bring proof of Putnam County residence. Those who bring their own bags may choose an additional item from the table.

West Central Quail Forever Chapter 3183 will be giving grain food plot seed away on April 30th from 8:30 AM to 12:00 Noon in the parking lot in front of Buffalo Wild Wings. If anyone has project they would like to be involved with. Please contact any member with your commitment to the project and involvement. The project will be discussed at our regular meeting dates (3rd Tuesday of the month at Putnam Inn 7:30)

May 2-6

Putnamville Correctional Facility to be honoring employees May 2-6. The administrative staff is extending an invitation to retirees and former employees to attend the Employee/ Reception recognition on Wed, May 4, 9am. Attendees should RSVP at 765-653- 8441, ext 200 no later than noon May 2.

Putnam County Master Gardeners speaker Colletta Kosiba present “Choose Your Weapon,” a discussion on favorite gardening tools. Bring your best implement and show it off! Refreshments and visiting at 6:30; program at 7:00. DePauw’s Julian Math & Science Building, Room 159.

The Cataract Lake Area Crime Watch meeting will be on May 10, 2016, because of Election on May 3rd (6:30 pm) at the Cataract Country School House on Cataract Cunot Rd. We will be reviewing the Sheriff report and have the new Crime Watch signs there for sale. Come out and bring a couple friends.

The Poland Historical Chapel will be open the public the second Sat and fourth Sun of each month from 1-4 p.m. Visitors can tour the chapel, as well as view the historical photos and relics from Poland, IN, for free during these times.

HOURS for Rescued Treasures located at 1021 Indianapolis Road (next to Goodwill) will be open Tues thru Sat from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Operated by the Humane Society of Putnam County.

Putnam County Antique Tractor and Machinery Association monthly meeting will be held on the second Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted, in the Putnam Co. Farm Bureau Board room at 7 pm.
