Cloverdale High School Band Receives $12,011 Donation To Help Fund Washington, D.C. Trip

The Cloverdale High School Emerald Command Band, under the guidance of director Bill Cole, will be taking part in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. on July 4th. The group has been hard at work, raising funds and accepting donations in an effort to help fund the trip. Several organizations, individuals and businesses have donated funds over the last few months. A raffle was held with the grand prize being a 1987 Chevrolet El Camino, donated by Al and Joan Tucker. The tickets were sold from April 1 through May 28 for $20 each, three for $50, seven for $100, or ten for $150. Tickets sales generated a donation to the Emerald Command of $12,011 to help fund the upcoming trip.
