Clovers close season with win

The Cloverdale volleyball team won the final season match against Southmont Tuesday in five sets by the scores of 25-23, 19-25, 22- 25, 25-16 and 15-13. The Clover JV also won in three sets. Hannah Rady led the Clovers from the service line with 13 points and four aces, Lauren Meek made 12 points and one ace, Kenzie Stoltz had 12 points and three aces, Justyce Monnett made three points, Payten Simpson had 10 points and one ace, Hailey Thomas with eight points. Kenzie Stoltz had 18 kills, Justyce Monnett made 10, Tori Combs had seven, Hailey Thomas with three, Kassie Wade had two. Hannah Rady made 28 set assists. Defensively, Tori Combs had seven blocks. Hailey Thomas had 28 digs, Kenzie Stoltz made 18 digs, Lauren Meek with eight, Hannah Rady made six, Kassie wade with one, Haley Maners got four, Justyce Monnett and Payten Simpson with five each, and Tori Combs with six. “It was a great team win for us as we finish the regular season,” Coach Kathy Moore stated. Cloverdale heads to Sectionals against Cascade Thursday, Oct. 20 in Monrovia.
