Indiana Street, Greencastle (courtesy photo) Saturday, November 5th we will be participating in a day-long event here at The Sanctuary Business and Event Center, also known as the home to the First Christian Church located at 110 S. Indiana St., Greencastle, IN 46135.

First, there will be an Open House for The Sanctuary Business and Event Center from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Many have heard that the church sold the building this past summer. The new owners are creating a place for area events for businesses, communities and individuals. Come out and see the beauty of the First Christian Church building as it is transferred into a place that not only houses The First Christian Church, but will now be available for businesses to use for offices, meetings and events, a place for DePauw and other educational institutions to hold events and also to see how the beautiful sanctuary in the church, which has been an icon of Greencastle history and community faith, has been transformed into a space that not only has kept the original architectural grace and beauty of the facilities, but has enhanced it to be a wonderful place for weddings, receptions, gatherings and events. We encourage area businesses to participate in this monumental event to be apart of our new beginning in the community. You may contact Brittany Roberts at thesanctuaryevents@gmail.com or at (812) 251-9430 for information on how your business can participate in the Open House for free!

Then later in the day, please come back and enjoy Our New Beginning Benefit Concert at 7:00 pm on Saturday, November 5th. Come and sit back and listen to the beautiful music of our pipe organ as Jason Asbury comes back to his hometown to reconnect with his community. Also performing that night will be DePauw student Nate Smith, who is the organist for First Christian Church on Sundays. There will also be numerous other guest performances from DePauw and Community.

This event is being held to not only benefit the Asbury Endowment for the Arts in Putnam County, but also to share with and assure the community that First Christian Church is still actively here and is continuing to be apart of the Greencastle Community, as it has always been.

So please attend these events to enjoy the beauty of the evening and be soothed and comforted with musical sounds that praise our Lord, who touched these performers with the talent he gave them.
