Purdue Club of Putnam County collecting food for the Food Pantry at Ag Day Breakfast

Ron Birt, President of the Purdue Alumni Club of Putnam County, announced that the Club will be collecting food at the Putnam County Ag Day, March 11, at the Putnam County Fair Grounds. The Purdue Club has collected food for the Putnam County Food Pantry for several years. President Birt said if you forget to bring a food item, cash will work.

The Purdue Club of Putnam County’s main objective is to raise funds for scholarship for Putnam County students attending the Purdue West Lafayette Campus. Presently the Club has in excess of $82,000 endowed with the Putnam County Foundation. The Club has given scholarships to four students each year for several years.

In addition to scholarships the Club has service projects such as the food drive, programs of interest given locally, game watches, and trips to campus.
