(Staff Photos) A classic homemade diner has reopened in northern Owen County, along U.S. Highway 231 at the Millgrove Store.

After the recent relocation of the previous diner operation, general store owner Wayne Mc- Cormick, along with daughter and store manager Nancy Wesley reestablished the eatery in the back of the store.

The newly reopened diner has a homemade focus, with fresh sausage and homemade pancakes for breakfast, handmade mashed potatoes for lunch and dinner. Hand cut fries, soups and sandwiches are also available during the lunch hour. Alternating dinner specials will also be available each day, with additions such as turkey Manhattan and spaghetti.

A variety of baked goods are also offered daily, including cinnamon rolls, muffins and more.

The Millgrove Diner is located at the corner of U.S. Highway 231 North and Hardware Road, in the back of the Millgrove Store. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
