Be Well 5K thank you

The Indiana Healthy Community Initiative & the BE WELL 5k planning committee would like to thank all community members who participated in the Inaugural event, which was held on Saturday, April 22nd at Big Walnut Sports Complex.

Approximately 55 individuals participated in the event and completed 3.12 miles for a healthier Putnam County. 1st place female winner was Samara Young with a race time of 25:42 and 1st place male winner was Brett Weliever with a time of 26:32.

We would also like to thank all of our sponsors who willingly gave to support the event. Those generous sponsors include: Putnam County Hospital, People’s Pathways, Putnam County Health Department, PNC Bank, Endeavor Communications, Banner Graphic, JF Awards, A+ Printing, All-American Karate, Tx:Team, Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center, IHIE, and Putnam Surgical Specialties.

The Indiana Healthy Community Initiative includes individuals and local businesses and industries that are partnering to provide tools and resources for the community and workplaces to make healthier choices. Putnam County is working towards becoming the next Indiana Healthy Community; an Indiana Chamber-led program that encourages communities to be healthier to promote a more vibrant and attract place for industries and the workforce. With our partnerships, Putnam County will become a healthier place to live, work, learn and play.
