2017 Tox-Away Day results at WSCSD

The West Central Solid Waste District sponsored its 2017 Putnam County Tox-Away Day on May 6th at Area 30. Over 400 residents took advantage of the opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste, along with 570 tires and 16 tons of appliances/electronics. Special thanks to Area 30 and State Police Officer Cory Robinson for their assistance with this year’s event. Residents have 2 more opportunities to attend Tox-Away Days: June 24 (North Montgomery High School, Crawfordsville) and Sept. 16 (Parke County Fairgrounds, Rockville). For a complete list of items accepted, please visit our website at www.westcentralswd.com and click on Tox-Away. Jane Collisi, Executive Director (Courtesy photo)
