Imagination Portal Unplugged, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Looking for a little quiet time? These hours are for you. Enjoy the Imagination Portal without monitors, video games, or music in the background.

STEAM Monday, 2-3 p.m. A summer reading event for children ages 8-12. Tinker, make, and create at the library on Mondays. Explore arts and crafts, simple circuits, chemistry and more! Each week will feature a different project but there will always be something to make, build, create, or discover!

Mah Jongg Game, 12:30-3 p.m. For all players who know the game (not the computer version). Newcomers are welcome to watch and learn.

Ancient Practices for Modern Healing, 5-6:30 p.m. AyurVed Principles for Health and Ideal Body Weight. In this session, you’ll learn the basic principles concerning nutrition, strong digestion, and maintaining optimal body weight with use of food as medicine.

Time Travelin’ Genealogy Guild, 6-7 p.m. Join a group of local family history gurus to learn tips and tricks, share stories, and discover new resources.

Learn to Crochet, 6-7:30 p.m.

PCPL Board of Trustees Meeting, 6-8 p.m.

Thursday, July 6

Toddler Time, 10-10:30 a.m. Sing songs, hear stories and nursery rhymes, move around to music and action songs, and make a craft. Ages 12-35 months.

Preschool Storytime, 11-11:45 a.m. Hear theme-based stories, move around and sing action songs, make a craft, and have a small snack. Ages 3-5 year olds

Bridge for Everyone, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Come to an open bridge game on Thursday afternoons in the Kiwanis room. All who enjoy bridge are invited to attend, regardless of skill level. This group will be facilitated by Dorothy Brown. If you have questions, please contact Barbara Timm at btimm@PCPL21.org.

LGBTQ+ Book Club, 6-7 p.m. The PCPL LGBTQ+ Book Club will be reading Fun House by Alison Bechdel for the July meeting. The library has copies of the book available for checkout and for $1 at the reference desk. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Sarah Myers at smyers@pcpl21.org.

Family Film Friday, 1-2:30 p.m. Join us for a movie at the library! This week we’ll be showing an animated film about A young boy who must locate a magical suit of armour in order to defeat a vengeful spirit from the past. All ages are welcome. The movie is rated PG and the running time is 1 hour and 42 minutes. Snacks will be provided.

Teens Get Crafty at the Library!

The Putnam County Public Library will be hosting a teen Perler Bead Craft event on Monday, July 10 at 3:00 p.m. Express your crafty side using tiny beads and an iron to melt them and create your very own work of art. Make coasters or even a headphone holder. The event is open to all teens, ages 13-18. Space is limited, so please register by July 7. You can register for this event by calling 765-653-2755 ext. 121, by emailing (kmullinnix@pcpl21.org), or by filling out form on our website at PCPL21.org.

Please note: the Putnam County Public Library will be closed on July 4 for Independence Day. We will resume normal hours on Wednesday, July 5. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday!

There will be no Community Help Desk hours at the Putnam County Public Library this week.
