July 18

New machine embroidery class entries for the 2017 Putnam County Fair must be turned in at the Community Building at the fair grounds 4-7 p.m.

Questions about habitat for birds and bees? Quail Forever is hosting a free learning event on July 18, 2017 at the Putnam Inn in Greencastle.

Emily Jacobs, our Quail Forever regional wildlife biologist will be giving a short presentation about wildlife, pollinators, butterflies and invasive species followed by a question and answer session.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m., seating is limited. Please RSVP to fielding@iendeavor.com or bfisher@ccrtc.com. Light refreshments will be served.

Cataract Lake Area Crime Watch will have the next meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Cataract Vol. Fire Dept. Come out and bring a couple friends. The Sheriff’s Dept. will give us an update on local problems/ opportunities. Let’s do it right. Cataract Lake Water Corp. Board will meet at the water office at 7 p.m. For more information, 765-795- 3288.

July 21

Parade of Fitness Run/Walk will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 at 6 p.m. at courthouse. It is a 1.5 mile race and will start just prior to the Putnam County 4-H parade. See more details on page 4 of today’s Hoosier Topics.

July 23

Stardust Hills Homeowner Association

Yoga classes on the pool deck, Mondays and Wednesdays, 9-10 a.m.

Water aerobics, Mondays and Wednesdays, 7-8 p.m. Yoga and water aerobics cost $1 per guest per class or 10$ for the season, this fee helps pay for the extra yoga mats and the coffee provided after yoga and for the pool noodles for water aerobics.

Game day events are held on Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Free to anyone who wants to join please bring your favorite board games, card games, and or yard games.

Stories in the Park is held on Thursdays, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Free to anyone who wants to come listen.

Teen Swim is held on Fridays, 6:30-9 p.m. Teen swim is free for residents and $1 for nonresidents, this fee pays for food provided and or game equipment or party supplies.
