Health Department releases report

The Putnam County Health Department and Indiana State Department of Health is authorized by law to ensure that foods are safe, wholesome and sanitary, regulated products are honestly and accurately represented; and, these products along with food establishments permitted in Putnam County are in compliance with the county and state laws and regulations.

Restaurant inspections for June 1-30 are as follows:

2 West Bistro, 6/27/17, 1 noncritical. Fan vents in walk-in cooler and produce cooler not clean to sight and touch.

Casey’s General Store # 3307, 6/22/17, 1 critical. Baffle inside ice maker not clean to sight and touch

Crain’s Old Hickory Golf Course, 6/20/17, no violations.

Dollar Tree Store #1958, 6/26/17, clear to open at new location.

Pierson’s Pizza Den, LLC, 6/13/17, 1 critical. Spray bottle containing chlorine sanitizer had no label identifying contents.
