PCPL is hosting blood drive

We invite you to help save lives by giving blood! The Putnam County Public Library is partnering with the Red Cross for a Blood Drive on Monday, Aug. 14, from 2-7 p.m., in PCPL’s Kiwanis room. This event is part of our “Build a Better World” theme for summer reading and programs.

In order to donate, you must be in good health; be at least 17 years old, or 16 years old with a signed parental consent form; bring a donor card, driver’s license, or two other forms of ID; and weigh at least 110 lbs. Before your donation appointment time, please be sure to maintain a healthy level of iron in your diet, get a good night’s sleep, drink an extra 16 ounces of water or non-alcoholic fluids, and eat a healthy meal, but avoid fatty foods.

We encourage you to schedule your Blood Drive appointment online at redcrossblood.org or by contacting the library at 765-653-2755. Scheduling appointments in advance will ensure that the process is done as quickly as possible for each of you and will significantly reduce your wait time.

Please help save lives and schedule your appointment today!
