At the Putnam County Library, Aug. 15-18

Tuesday, Aug. 15:

Music Makers, 11 a.m.-noon: Join in on the second Tuesday of every month sing, dance and play with percussion instruments and the parachute. Babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children welcome.

Community Help Desk, 4-7 p.m.

Yarn Perch, 5-8 p.m.: Need crochet help or companionship? Jo MacPhail takes her Yarn Perch on the balcony above the lobby every Thursday evening.

Family Movie Night, 5:30-7 p.m. This month we’ll be watching a movie based on a popular book by author Marla Frazee about a very interesting new arrival to the family. The movie is rated PG and the run time is 97m. Snacks will be provided.

Play Mah Jongg, 6-8 p.m.: For those who know the game. Newcomers contact Janice at DarksidersMaxine@msn.com to arrange for instruction.

Wednesday, Aug. 16:

Mah Jongg Game, 12:30-3 p.m.: For all players who know the game (not computer version). Newcomers welcome to watch and learn.

STEAM Powered Wednesdays, 2-3 p.m. & 4-5 p.m. Tinker, make, and create at the library on the third Wednesday of each month. Explore arts and crafts, simple circuits, chemistry and more! Each month will feature a different project but there will always be something to make, build, create, or discover!

Ukulele Group, 6-7 p.m. Do you play the ukulele? Join us every Wednesday for an open ukulele jam! Beginners welcome.

Learn to Crochet, 6-7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 17:

Community Help Desk, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Bridge for Everyone, 1:30-3:30 p.m.: Open bridge game Thursday afternoons in the Kiwanis room. All skill levels invited. Facilitated by Dorothy Brown. For questions, contact Barbara Timm at btimm@PCPL21.org.

Brick Club, 4-5 p.m. Build creations using LEGO bricks. Your masterpiece will be displayed in the library!

Friday, Aug. 18:

Imagination Portal Unplugged, 9 a.m.-noon.

Community Help Desk, 2-4 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 19

Pup Tales, 1-2 p.m. Read to a dog at the library! Parents can sign up their children for a 15 minute time slot to read to one of the PALS Pups by calling 765-653- 2755.
