Baby & Me, 11-11:30 a.m.

Reading readiness begins at birth! We’ll share songs, action rhymes, a book, and some playtime that will allow you to bond with your baby, get to know other moms, and gain skills that help prepare baby for reading & writing later on.

Community Help Desk, 4-7 p.m.

Yarn Perch, 5-8 p.m.: Need crochet help or companionship? Jo MacPhail takes her Yarn Perch on the balcony above the lobby every Thursday evening.

Play Mah Jongg, 6-8 p.m.: For those who know the game. Newcomers contact Janice at DarksidersMaxine@msn.com to arrange for instruction.

Wednesday, Sept. 6

Alternative Healing, 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

Alternative Healing will pick up where the previous series left off and will continue to teach practices that promote healing power from within and optimal health for you or your loved ones. This week we’ll be working with chakras.

Time Travelin’ Genealogy Guild, 6-7 p.m.

Join a group of local family history gurus to learn tips and tricks, share stories, and discover new resources.

Ukulele Group, 6-7 p.m. Do you play the ukulele? Join us every Wednesday for an open ukulele jam! Beginners welcome.

Thursday, Sept. 7

Toddler Time, 10 a.m.- 10:30 a.m.

Sing songs, hear stories and nursery rhymes, move around to music and action songs, and make a craft. Ages 12 mos.-35 mos.

Preschool Storytime, 11- 11:45 a.m.

Hear theme-based stories, move around and sing action songs, make a craft, and have a small snack. Ages 3-5 year olds

Community Help Desk, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Bridge for Everyone, 1:30- 3:30 p.m.: Open bridge game Thursday afternoons in the Kiwanis room. All skill levels invited. Facilitated by Dorothy Brown. For questions, contact Barbara Timm at btimm@ PCPL21.org.

Kids’ Homeschool Book Club, 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

Sign up to participate in our Kids’ Homeschool Book Club specifically for kids age 5-8. We will meet the first Thursday of each month from September to November. Each participant will receive a copy of the book to borrow and discuss for each meeting. At each meeting, kids will get a chance to discuss the books and participate in games and activities. Registration is required. When you register for the first meeting, you will also be signed up for the meetings on Oct. 12 and Nov. 9.

LibrarYoga, 5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.

Every Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 the library is offering FREE Yoga sessions led by certified yoga instructors. Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level. Participants should wear comfy, stretchy clothes. Yoga mats, blocks, and straps are available for your use.

LGBTQ+ Book Club, 6-7 p.m.

The LGBTQ+ Book Club will be reading “The Bermudez Triangle” by Maureen Johnson for the September meeting. The library has copies of the book available for checkout and for $1 at the reference desk. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Sarah Myers at smyers@pcpl21.org.

Imagination Portal Unplugged, 9 a.m.-noon.

Introduction to Computers, Part One, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Introduction to Computers Part One will help you understand how the computer works will give you the confidence to tackle future tasks on your own. Topics covered: History of Computers, How a Computer Works, Basic Computer Operation, and Mouse Exercises.
