Fall tips for our furry friends

With summer almost over, here are some important safety tips to keep our furry friends healthy and happy.

Daylight savings time means less daylight and longer darkness. Make sure dogs are wearing a reflective collar while outside, so they can be easily seen.

The changing season can bring on skin conditions, breathing issues, aching joints and allergies. If you see changes in their health, seek veterinary advice as soon as possible.

Keep school supplies out of paws reach. Glue sticks, pencils, magic markers, crayons and other supplies should be secured where our furry friends cannot reach them.

Problems with ticks and fleas are still prevalent during the fall season. Check them after they come inside. Use a flea and tick preventative to keep these pests out of your home.
