Live Local, Think Global presents Erin Huang

The Live Local, Think Global series at Putnam County Public Library is happy to welcome Erin Huang on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Erin is the Senior Indiana State Director for The Humane Society of The United States (HSUS). She has worked for HSUS since January of 2013, but has been an advocate for animal rights for many years prior to joining HSUS. Erin is a graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law, where she co-founded the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund chapter at that school. After graduation, Erin became a deputy prosecuting attorney in Marion County, Indiana, eventually focusing solely on animal cruelty offenses. During her time as a prosecutor, Erin worked with HSUS to change the laws related to animal cruelty, animal fighting, and commercial breeders.

In this Live Local, Think Global series event, Erin will discuss issues facing animals and how people can get involved to affect change, which includes getting involved with policy and getting to know those who are making the laws. Join us on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m. to learn more.
