Clovers lose to Monrovia

The Clovers lost a heartbreaker to Monrovia, on Thursday, Sept. 14, in five sets 25- 19, 20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 10-15.

“We played very intensely and aggressively,” said coach Traci Scott. “We would play them point for point with several suspenseful rallies.”

Clovers were led by Kenzie Stoltz with 18 kills, 12 service points and 21 digs; Hannah Rady had 10 service points and 38 assists; Tori Combs had eight kills and eight blocks; Hailey Thomas played great defense with 42 digs, Morgan Goss also played good defense with 21 digs. Justyce Monnet had seven service points and eight kills; Kayla Perdue had 15 digs.

Coach Traci Scott commented, “Overall, the Clovers played well. We just have to keep the momentum going after we take the lead.”
